Curated by fine art painter and psychotherapist Jacqueline F. Moore, Maya Lumen brings together a diversity of musical influence, energetic exploration, and artistic talent. She was originally trained as a bassist in a jazz band and 1st chair trumpet player in a symphonic band. Later, as she immersed in travels throughout her ancestral lands of Spain and Latin America, she explored new dimensions of composition and stylization.  Equipped with a mahogany body Martin guitar, Moore explores subtle states of being through the compositional process. The music is primarily instrumental in nature to illustrate and illuminate mental, emotional, and spiritual experiences. Maya Lumen is self-defined as "progressive desperado" as the music combines Latin articulations and American country-western ambiance with progressive arrangements and rhythms. ​
